Some snippets of our wonderful time work-shopping and showcasing the piece at Native Earth Performing Arts’ Weesageechak 32 in the Aki studio. From chilling in our Super 8 hotel room for eleven days, to incredible ‘swirl’ pizza, to intense rehearsals (+ sound tech-ing the show in an hour and a half) and the team’s final performance. An incredible experience. Also our final day which included getting booted out of our hotel earlier than we thought we would, an amazing Two-Spirit Cabaret at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, making new friends and dancing, trying to find the elusive union station bus terminal, taking a late night bus to Hamilton, freezing in the cold, taxiing to the airport while our driver gave us his whole tragic and funny and judgmental life story, sleeping at the airport, catching our flight and not sleeping through a single bit of it due to screaming children… and then finally getting home.
